IT Support Professional · Vancouver, BC
BCIT Technology Support Professional graduate with hands-on training in networking, systems administration, and cloud. A natural ability to make technical problems feel manageable for the people who need help most.
About Me
I'm a recent BCIT Technology Support Professional graduate based in Vancouver, BC. I came to IT from a background in hospitality. Years behind the bar taught me how to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and genuinely care about the person in front of me. Those skills translate better to tech support than you might think.
Through BCIT's TSP program I built a solid technical foundation: networking fundamentals, Windows and Linux server administration, Microsoft 365, PowerShell scripting, and virtualization. I'm equally comfortable at a command line as I am walking someone through a frustrating tech issue with patience and a bit of humour.
I'm actively seeking a practicum placement where I can contribute, keep learning, and be part of a team that takes their work seriously but not themselves too seriously.
Years of hospitality means I genuinely enjoy helping people, especially when things are stressful for them.
If you can handle a packed Saturday night rush, a help desk queue is very manageable.
Open to in-person, hybrid, and remote roles across the Lower Mainland.
